Mrs L Mills Clerk to the Governors

The members of the Governing Body represent parents, staff and the wider local community. They offer a variety of skills which are required to manage the school effectively. The appointment of Governors and the way they conduct school business is laid down by an Education Act.

Full Governors meetings must be held at least once a term. The detailed business is delegated to two committees who each meet as often as necessary. These committees are Resources and Children and Learning. All key policy decisions proposed by committees require the approval of the full governing body.

Each year the Governors produce a paper called the School Profile to report to parents what the school successes have been for the year, what they are trying to improve, how the results have changed over time etc. Should you wish to view the latest School Profile it is available online at http://www.parentscentre.gov.uk/schoolprofile.

The success of the School depends largely on a close relationship between the parents, the staff and the governors.
