About our school

School Grounds

Goldsworth Primary School is a co-educational day school, situated in Woking, close to the Goldsworth Park residential area and approximately half a mile from the main railway station and Woking town centre.

The School moved from the Kingsway to Bridge Barn Lane in October 1994. The building has been designed as a two-form entry 420-place school and it caters for children aged 4 - 11. Classes are organised in year groups - two classes per year.

There are six infant class bases with shared group rooms and wet resource areas.

There are eight junior classes with year group inter-connecting doors, Junior Library, Computer Suite and Home Economics Room.

Infant and Junior whole school facilities include a main hall, a music/activity hall, playing field and environmental area. An outdoor heated swimming pool has been provided by the Friends of Goldsworth Primary School with help from Surrey County Council. All classrooms have access to patio areas.

The Aim of the School

Objectives

School Grounds

The education provided is through a broad and balanced school curriculum within a caring, stimulating and challenging environment.

Children become confident, independent learners; they understand what is expected of them and know that their opinions are valued. They have the confidence to participate fully in all school activities.

Children are well motivated in a secure, happy atmosphere where they receive relevant praise and encouragement.

Children learn to respect different cultures, beliefs and points of view and are given equal opportunities to learn, regardless of gender, culture and ability.

There is co-operation between home, school and the community. There is mutual respect, where parents are genuinely involved in the education of their child.

Children are expected to behave appropriately at all times and to take responsibility for themselves and others.

Moral, cultural and spiritual issues are explored fully and are central to the whole school ethos.

In identifying the individual talents of the children and facilitating the personal growth of the individual, the school will strive to continually reassess the education provided in pursuit of excellence.

Staff are encouraged to achieve professional development and experience job satisfaction.
